Our Mission
The ATL Lady Hawks Senior Women’s Basketball team, a nonprofit organization based in Atlanta, Georgia, aims to provide a competitive program that helps females over 50 compete on a national level while maintaining physical, mental, ethical, and social well-being.
We have three teams, aged 50-54, 55-59, and 60-64, preparing for the 2025 Senior Basketball Olympics.
Our Achievement
• The ATL Lady Hawks 55-59 won the 2022 Georgia Golden Olympics and 2022 Florida Senior Games, emerging undefeated in their tournaments!
• We went 7-1 and secured fifth place out of 24 teams at the 2023 National Senior Olympics in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
• The ATL Lady Hawks won gold medals in the 50-54 and 55-59 age groups at the South Carolina Sports Classic State Games in Columbia from May 10-18, 2024.
• The ATL Lady Hawks are set to compete at the 2024 Georgia Golden Basketball Olympics, taking place from September 17-21 in Warner Robins.
• The 2025 National Senior Games are scheduled to be held in Des Moines, Iowa from July 24 – August 4.
Here is what we need
We are reaching out to basketball family, friends, local businesses, and supporters to help meet our goals. For the National Senior Olympics (July 24 – August 4, 2025), each athlete will incur costs for food ($500), additional uniforms ($3,000), and travel expenses ($300 per person). We also aim to purchase team warmups ($97 per person) and team basketball rolling bags with sponsor logos ($89). The team consists of 33 players and six coaches.
